{Sweet Thoughts} Happy Beautiful Winter

Winter, so full of cold days, early dark nights, wet streets, and shivers… but so much beauty. Warm sweaters, steaming tea cups, exposed bark branches, crisp morning jogs, a few last golden leaves falling, festive holiday parties, long snuggly hugs, magically colored lights, and sparkling white snow…

I spent this December week writing in coffee shops, meeting friends for tea, perusing artisans in an outdoor holiday market… cranberry apple cider in hand, gliding ice skaters nearby.

I hope you’re enjoying this beautiful cozy December and holiday shopping isn’t stressing you out too much.

Remember, presents don’t show love nearly as much as being fully present with those you love.

Wishing you lots of winter comfort.

P.S. In these tough times if holiday shopping is stressing you out, read this article by Zen Habits for alternative ways to spread holiday love.

Oh, what a beautiful message and that pic, wow. I actually am not a winter fan. I’m always so cold and would rather be in the sun. HOWEVER! the stillness of winter, esp. during snowfall, the silence. Oh, I really feel connected to that. Plus during this month, I’m really trying to focus on how to give with my words or wishes for my loved ones. I will read that article too! Thanks for this, Liz!

Thanks Lisa! I’m always cold too, but I love enjoying winter from indoors. Too much sun actually gets to me! You seem like an amazing giver so your loved ones are very lucky :)
